About the Position

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll work directly with clients to solve their business problems from start to finish. Your assistance and guidance will help us build a strong development team that thrives on providing rock-solid, best-practice solutions, not just the status quo. You'll work primarily within the LAMP stack, using popular PHP content management systems like WordPress, Drupal and Craft. You should feel comfortable using HTML, CSS and JavaScript conventions idiomatic to these systems.


• Gathering, developing and defining requirements documentation, and collaborating with internal and outside resources to create estimates based on requirements
• Not just authoring, but owning software development
• Creating technical solutions in line with client expectations
• Mentoring and advising teams, setting goals for advancement, initiating and participating in code reviews
• Troubleshooting, debugging in your sleep and resolving any technical issues that might arise

You are a leader that possess the ability to engage with and establish trust and rapport with all levels of clients and internal teams. Along with the requirements above you demonstrate and possess the following:
• A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineer development experience
• Experience in an agency environment or internal agency-type setting
• The ability to own your work, and effectively and enthusiastically show what you got!
• A desire build and train a team, and to embrace automation through documentation, in-person code reviews and testing
• A passion to make the internet a better place
